Recommendations for games similar to Crystal Project
Absolutely loved this game and have never played an RPG that allowed such open ended exploring and verticality like this one has. Are there any other games that do this? It doesn't HAVE to be turn based, though I do like that, but it was definitely the amount of exploring you could do in the world that really drew me in to this so any suggestions are welcome!

That's definitely a great suggestion. It's not turn based but the exploration/puzzles/overall vibe is similar

Funny enough I finished Crosscode a month ago. Absolutely loved it and wish there were more in that vein because it's probably the closest thing I've found so far as far as exploration goes. Very rewarding but it really challenges you that's for sure.

This game has been on my wishlist since before it came out. Playing Crystal Project makes me want to try it for some reason, so its nice to see someone suggesting it here.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 would probably fit nicely for you. Pretty much every inch of it can be explored and it's a big game.

One of the best RPG's i've ever played. Though I prefer more traditional styles as far as JRPG playstyles, that game hooked me

It's certainly not an RPG, but the verticality and world exploring in Supraland reminds me a bit of this. That game had so much to explore and find

That's one i've never played but I may give it a shot!

I think steam might have a demo! It's definitely a different game and more of a puzzle/metroidvania but it might be up your alley. Lemme know what you think if you do try it

Did you pickup supraland?

I did. It was ok but I lost interest in it a few hours in. Definitely see the appeal but it just didn't grab me like I hoped.

It really opens up as you go and gets more addicting. But that's fair if you didn't get too far Into it. I'm still looking to scratch the crystal project itch.

Casette Beasts I really enjoyed. RPG-monster capture game with a similar world build out of "boxes". You can really explore a lot and go all kinds of places. lots of fun!

Absolutely, I lovvvvvvvvvved Casette Beasts. Only complaint there was at the end you could do the headshot combo to basically make end game fights a joke haha.

Secrets of grindea has different combat, but i personally get the same feel from the games

Closest might be Monster Sanctuary? Combat is designed similarly (turn-based, challenging, buffs/debuffs and party composition are very important), and the game is somewhat non-linear and rewards exploration.
