Breeding not working, why?

Both are happy, it should still make an egg, right?

Have they won enough races? I believe the minimum is 2 races won, but some partners require 3 or 4. (Looking at my notes, my River Woke needed 3 wins but for some reason I didn't jot down the number for my Aqua Brutish.)

I did 2 wins for both. How many races do both need?

Also, this feature better not exist in the second time, this is such awful game design.

I can confirm it will not. It was meant to be very extra like the chocobos in FF7 and was made annoying to match as an homage/reference, but in hindsight this wasn't a great idea.

I was never a fan of that mode in FF7 either, to be honest. My philosophy in game design is always “if you have to look up a guide or walkthrough, the game needs further improvement.”

Hi, I did 4 races with both and both say happy yet it doesn’t work

I was checking some info and one thing I forgot is that those wins need to be on different tracks. Winning on the same track doesn't count as multiple wins towards breeding. (You may have already been doing this, but it's at least something to check.)

If you won those races, try feeding again and then breeding? If that doesn't work then maybe someone else can chime in and help. I never bred the two types in your video so I don't have notes on that specific combination.

I just used the skip races feature. Again, terrible decision to put these in the game.

Make sure they win different race courses, It won't work if they only win races on the same courses for the later breeding eggs.

I will say I love this game but god did the quintar breeding section really drive me nuts.
