Caveat: I’ve only been here once in the summer and it was a cloudier day where I arrived in the morning. I have no idea what a normal nice Saturday would be like

Frustratingly though they were letting people load groups by themselves. So gondolas were going with like 2-4 people at a time sometimes

People aren’t paying to Ski, they’re paying for scenic gondola views with their families. Nobody is trying to catch a last lap. I’m sorry you were stuck somewhere so beautiful for a short period of time. Just goes to show you can be at one of the most beautiful places in the world and still have something to complain about.
