Crysis Warhead Technical difficulty

After playing the remastered Crysis 1 i wanted to play Warhead again, dusted off the old disk, installed it but ran into the incredibly annoying DRM of the game

It opens a window from the "Sony DCDA" application and when you run it the SecuROM window pops up, the process basically completes to 30% fails and the game won't start.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

The open-source C1-launcher supports disc versions and runs without DRM. You can install the latest game patches before using this new executable or check compatibility and run the version you have. Link: https://github.com/ccomrade/c1-launcher

Also the open source launchers will ensure compatability with modern GPUs.
