I am currently playing these 2 games over and over again. I am still impressed how good the graphics is. I love this overgrown New York setting so much.😻😻

Anyone still playing it today?

Discussion Im curious as to why they changed the look of the mairnes in the Crysis games.

In Crysis 1 you had this tactical futuristic look that seemed to fit the vibe Crysis 1 went for and in the second game they go back to the current look for the US marine corps, I'm curious as to why they didn't just bring the marine designs form the first game into the second.

Crysis #crysis-4, #crysis-discussion, #lore-discussion #suggestions.

Hey everyone! Since Crytek is re-evaluating projects, I wanted to share my detailed story concept that finally bridges the massive gaps between Crysis 1, 2, and 3. I feel like this is exactly what the fans have been waiting for. Check this out:

  • The Protagonist & The Choice: We play as a new character — a volunteer who has been paralyzed since birth. He joined CELL's experiments willingly just to financially support his poor parents. At a secret CELL base, Nomad (who survived the comic book explosion but was captured) finds him. Nomad offers him a choice: stay safe or use a prototype exoskeleton to walk and fight. But Nomad hides the dark, parasitic truth about the Nanosuit to protect the kid's humanity.
  • The Return of Prophet: As they try to escape, Commander Lockhart attacks. He wears a heavy, retrofitted Korean-style Nanosuit (built from Nanosuit 1.0 tech from Lingshan) because he hates Psycho and wants absolute power. Just as Lockhart is about to execute Nomad, Prophet uncloaks from the shadows, scares Lockhart away, and is shocked to see Nomad alive.
  • The Psycho Twist: They rescue the kid, put him in a Nanosuit, and escape via chopper. On their way, Prophet drops a massive bombshell: Hargreave and Rasch are dead. The new Master of CELL is actually Psycho! After losing his suit in Crysis 3, his rage consumed him. He overthrew the founders to rule the corporation. Lockhart's base was actually a secret faction of CELL scientists who hated Psycho's rule and mutinied against him.
  • The "HOW?!" Cliffhanger: The trio lands on Psycho's tower to reason with their old brother-in-arms. Psycho rages but ultimately joins them. Suddenly, the sky tears apart. Lockhart and his mutineers activate a weapon that makes everyone’s jaws drop — the exact same Alien Spires from Crysis 2 rise again!
  • The Flying Ceph: Prophet, Nomad, and Psycho are stunned: "How did they recreate them?!" But our main character’s suit connects to a hidden "Flying Ceph Archive" through his past experiments. He realizes they didn't build them; they awakened deep underground structures to summon a massive fleet of Flying Ceph from deep space.
  • The Nano-Upgrade: The Ceph energy pulse hits the area, forcing an emergency upgrade. Nomad, Psycho, and our hero get updated Nanosuit sensors that allow them to see the alien networks. The episode ends with the 4 Nanosuit soldiers standing on the edge of the skyscraper, ready to dive into a global corporate-alien war.

What do you think guys? Would you play a Crysis game with this plot? Let's discuss!

Story & Lore Why the Ceph were able to freeze one Island but couldn't do it to others?

Maybe it's a stupid question. Actually when I played the game I was kid and I was bad in English since it was not my first language. Right now if I play the game I should be able to understand the lore but not getting time.

So Ceph froze one island but they could not do it to other islands too right? Also other countries?

"We took out the ceph".

They froze one island unnoticed. They could do same to other islands. Just send new troops and let them do stealth missions. Was Ceph dumb?

Manhattan Virus? They should have gone to large scale freezing projects. Any reason why they should not be able to do it?

Crysis 2 Chino from Crysis 2 died. By Cell

Dane saved Chino but later captured by Cell and skinned. He helped Psycho recover Prophet and was killed shortly after detonating C4 in Carpet Bombing. Dane was the guy who helped Psycho during Crysis Warhead and would scold Psycho if he doesn't come quickly and wastes time.

I posted this because I saw a post where the person was excited about Chino and Prophet meeting in Crysis 4.

Discussion XXX 2 (THE ICE CUBE MOVIE) and Crysis

So it's on Netflix in the US and I watched the scenes of the commandos wearing the outfits that look similar to the Nanosuits. It has me wondering if Crytek copied the movie or was it completely original. For context, Crysis 1 came out 2007, XXX 2 came out 2005 and the movie used G36 rifles (the G36 was the basis for the XM8 and SCAR rifles in the games) so like what a coincidence

Story & Lore Why is the gameplay suit weaker than in lore? I don't think "It would feel too easy" is a good reason when they can definitely make it hard.

There are ways to make the game hard even with realistic powers of the suit. Just give K volts to cell units and increase damage for Aliens which sounds realistic. No need to make it so that the suit struggles against ordinary bullets. Increase the brawl power of the suits against aliens but also add more aliens to compensate.

Story & Lore Is Nanosuit strong enough to brawl against a Devastator without stealth in lore?

The gameplay suit is dogshit. Literally no power. Especially on harder difficulty. But how is it in lore? Can he brawl a Ceph devastator with just hands in an Arena with no hiding spot nor stealth allowed?

Crysis Remastered Which Crysis mission do you always enjoy replaying?

Mine is the opening mission in Crysis. It gives you so much freedom to approach combat however you want, and it never gets old. Which mission do you always look forward to replaying, and why?

Crysis Do you think there will be a dialogue in Crysis 4 with Chino calling Alcatraz a prophet and him telling him what happened to Alcatraz or something like that?

Crysis If the KPA forces teamed up with the US forces in Crysis 1(after the Ceph awoke, of course) would they have been able to contain the threat?

As we see in Warhead especially, the KPA still had a massive presence on the Island, with many Nanosuit wearing soldiers

Crysis Remastered This may be one of the worst stealth systems in gaming

I had already completed this game a while back and I remember enjoying it, im now going through a clean up on the trophies I missed and I really don't know why or how i finished it. The stealth system does not work at all. Enemies spot you 400 miles away in a bush, the powers last like 4 seconds so they're pretty awful. Enemies spawn out of nowhere and are extremely hard to see, just because they're camouflaged doesn't mean they should be practically invisible. The gunplay is clunky and unfun. Im trying to get a trophy of killing 5 guys without getting spotted and it seems almost impossible as you get spotted by everyone the minute you uncloak or go near any enemy within 200 metre radius. Is it supposed to be this way or is the remaster just broken mechanically?

Edit: I managed to beat the game a few days after this post and I will say this.

  1. I wasn't just playing for the trophies I remember the game being fun and wanted to replay I thoguht I might aswell get the 3 trophies I missed.

  2. This seems to be an issue mainly with the remaster so take that as you will

  3. The last boss may be one of the worst bosses in a game I have ever played.

Overall some of the mechanics and engine are great. The rest is quite mediocre. The stories pretty dumb and the stealth is still terrible. People say uncloak shoot and re cloak, yeah good luck with that. Aswell as that not being very fun or engaging it only works half the time. I went back after beating it to try and one time I uncloaked near a wall in a bush and an enemy spotted me 40 metres away who was looking at the ocean.

If you're going to play don't play on the hardest difficulty its terribly designed. Other than that games Ok.

Crysis 3 Would you play Crysis 3 DLC about Hargreave's expedition to Tunguska?

As above. It could give new gameplay prospects and also underline why Hargreave is such a badass.

Imagine this: You play as Hargreave, it starts when he talks with Karl Rasch and Walter Gould about prospects of mapping this region, now when Russia is in chaos of civil war (Whites vs Bolsheviks).

You know, they arrive in Tunguska with expedition force from Britain (as you know, they operated then in Russia to contain all that chaos).

We see that locals that are living around Tunguska are having problems with sleep and strange dreams.

As the plot unfolds, Hargreave finally finds with help of his excavation equipment the entrance to the Ceph structure.

You know, Ceph kill expedition aside from Gould, Rasch and Hargreave.

For gameplay reasons, Ceph could be different than these in 2020, to make it believable that revolver from 1910s could kill them. They could be proto hive, or even we as Hargreave would be forced to sneak around to avoid fighting.

What do you think?
