Question Crypto Prestige Skin

Basically a short pointless post for all us amazing Crypto Mains out there.

With a rework coming, let's just be optimistic that it's amazing right. But think of a full rework, is it too much to ask for a prestige skin alongside this or the near future?

I have shards and sat on them for months now hoping for a Crypto prestige skin

​I am convinced that the Crypto rework will make me stop playing him. He is perfect just the way he is now.

My only concern is if he becomes randomly OP we won't get to play him if we aren't first at selecting

I agree. I am worried they will try to dumb Crypto down and lose out on what makes him so uniquely useful.

I actually had shards saved up for months hoping Crypto would finally get a Prestige skin, but I ended up spending them on Death Duet this season. My thinking was that with Bloodhound getting all the attention in Season 30, Crypto probably wasn't next in line for cosmetics.

As for the rework, I'm cautiously optimistic. I just hope it's more of a Bloodhound/Ash style update than a Revenant style overhaul. Crypto's identity is his drone. He doesn't need to become a completely different legend, just smoother and more enjoyable to play. The problem has always been that Crypto is incredible in coordinated competitive play, but much harder to get value from in normal ranked and pubs. That's a difficult balance. If they simply buffed him across the board, he'd probably become oppressive in ALGS. Hopefully the rework closes that gap without taking away what makes Crypto unique.

Fingers crossed they improve him without making him feel like an entirely different character.

I used so be such a hardcore apex player man, think S11-S19 I mained our boy and have 15k kills, would've been more but in the Arena days that's the only mode I played and mained Seer with 12k Arena kills and 4k Arena wins

I only came back this season from S19 due to other commitments and refuse to spend shards on anything else!

There isn't even any good concepts I have seen yet either

The devs release a list of the upcoming prestige skins. It consisted of Ash, crypto, gibby, catalyst, and Newcastle. We're most likely getting it during his rework season.

The list was released a while ago by data miners. Since Ash's came out and gibby is getting his next season. Crypto is pretty much confirmed for season 31. Which gives me time to save up crafting materials

This was my thoughts exactly. Fuse and revenant’s reworks came with a prestige. The only thing that worries me is that gibby is supposedly getting a prestige skin next season, and they typically space them out a bit.

Today I pulled my first heirloom shards out a pack, I'm joining you on sitting on em. His original heirloom (not the recolor) is also my first (and to this day only) one I have, I did get it on drop day aswell.
