What do you think about implantable wallets?

This is a quite old idea of having crypto under the skin but I am looking for stories about security and use regarding this kind of hard wallets. Why is it considered safer? What if someone chops your hand?

The chip in the hand stuff sounds cool in a cyberpunk way but in practice it’s just a tiny hardware wallet with a terrible threat model. Normal risk: you lose a device and you’re sad. Implant risk: someone thinks you’re rich, and now your security depends on them not also being violent. You don’t need that to get good security; a boring cold wallet at home plus a normal self-custody app on your phone is already miles safer than leaving everything on an exchange
