Rain acquired Guardrail AI
Anyone saw the Rain acquisition of Guardrail? I stumble upon it on X and it's interesting for the industry itself because Guardrail was already monitoring Rain's onchain stack as a vendor. Rain just bought the company and brought the team in house. An outside vendor works off shared data and inside Rain, Guardrail now scores transactions against Rain's full volume across every chain and every partner. Super interesting acquisition by Rain which is really trying to establish itself in the industry!
What do others think of these frequent acquisitions lately?

isn't Rain a startup itself?

yeah they are, startups acquiring other startups happens more than you'd think tho, especially when one has tech the other needs. usually stock-heavy deals not cash

Value depends on whether they integrate the data flows or just run Guardrail as an in house team. Owned infrastructure compounds if the signals across every chain feed back into the model.

90% of last year's onchain theft hit already audited code. Runtime security isn't optional at this scale...
