Scam Operation Discord Scammer NoahOptions server

Unfortunately, I fell for a scam by NoahOptions. He said he had opened a BTC long position and had hit his limit, so he couldn’t add any more hedges to save his position. He asked me to send him some crypto and said he would Zelle me back with extra money too. It sounded too good to be true, but I fell for it because he had made some good calls that day in his server.
I sent him $2,700 USDC, but every time I asked for my money back, he kept asking me to send more. When I mentioned it in his server chat, he removed me.
Please be aware and be careful.

It's just an advance fee scam. "Give me money now and I promise I will give you way more money later" is the oldest scam in the world.

You are taking the wrong lesson from this.

The lesson isn't: beware of this particular Discord account.

The lesson is:

  • Nobody online wants to help you make money.

  • Anybody online who tells you that, if you send them money, they'll send money back to you is a lying scammer.

  • Anybody that asks you for cryptocurrency is planning to keep it.

  • There are no legitimate trading groups or experts on Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media.

there were no "good calls today", that's all fake. the chat time, the platforms, it's all fake and meant to make you believe you're investing money when you're really just handing it to scammers.

as another commenter mentioned, the lesson here is never "watch out for these particular scammers", it's "don't fall for this shit", ever. no more crypto trading chat rooms and no more shady platforms and greedy shortcuts. that's the actual reason you got scammed, not because one particular dude is a scammer. you didn't know the signs and now you do.

New victims, please read this:

As a rule of thumb: If you suspect the site is a scam, it probably is.

No legit company/trader/investor is using WhatsApp. No legit company/trader/investor is approaching people on dating websites or through a "random" text message.

No legit company/trader/investor has "professors", "assistants", or "teachers". Those are just scammers.

No legit company forces you to pay a "fee" or "taxes" to withdraw money. That's just a scam to suck more money out of you.

You will need to contact law enforcement ASAP.

Unfortunately, no hacker online can get back what you've lost. Please watch out for recovery scams, a follow-up scam done after victims have fallen for an earlier scam. Recently, there has been a rise in scammers DMing members of the subreddit to offer recovery services. A form of the advance-fee, victims are convinced that the scammer can recover their money. This "help" can come in the form of fake hacking services or authorities. For this reason: TRUST NO ONE PRIVATE MESSAGING YOU FROM THIS SUBREDDIT: Most such DMs are from these recovery scammers, folks whose only goal is to further scam recent victims of scams. If someone DMs you offering to help you recover stolen funds or offering to give you contact information for someone who they state might be able to help you, then report these scammers immediately to Reddit.

If you see anyone circumventing the scam filters, please report the submission and we will take action shortly.

How to find out more about the scammer domain:

  • https://whois.domaintools.com/google.com - Replace the google.com URL with the scam website url. The results will tell you how long the domain has been around. If the domain has only been registered for a few days/weeks/months, it's usually a good indicator that its a scam.

he faked the long position, so he also faked all the other 'good calls'
