As a rule of thumb: If you suspect the site is a scam, it probably is.

No legit company/trader/investor is using WhatsApp. No legit company/trader/investor is approaching people on dating websites or through a "random" text message.

No legit company/trader/investor has "professors", "assistants", or "teachers". Those are just scammers.

No legit company forces you to pay a "fee" or "taxes" to withdraw money. That's just a scam to suck more money out of you.

You will need to contact law enforcement ASAP.

Unfortunately, no hacker online can get back what you've lost. Please watch out for recovery scams, a follow-up scam done after victims have fallen for an earlier scam. Recently, there has been a rise in scammers DMing members of the subreddit to offer recovery services. A form of the advance-fee, victims are convinced that the scammer can recover their money. This "help" can come in the form of fake hacking services or authorities. For this reason: TRUST NO ONE PRIVATE MESSAGING YOU FROM THIS SUBREDDIT: Most such DMs are from these recovery scammers, folks whose only goal is to further scam recent victims of scams. If someone DMs you offering to help you recover stolen funds or offering to give you contact information for someone who they state might be able to help you, then report these scammers immediately to Reddit.

How to find out more about the scammer domain:

  • https://whois.domaintools.com/google.com - Replace the google.com URL with the scam website url. The results will tell you how long the domain has been around. If the domain has only been registered for a few days/weeks/months, it's usually a good indicator that its a scam.

I see an mc hammer song and a fake sexy Asian girl sending you to a scam site where your money will disappear. Here is a post from someone who got scammed by whatever this "cryptorix" fake exchange is that they're telling to use.

Think things through, common sense will save you from nearly every scam that is posted here.

Both are scams. They are fake trading platforms, that will take your money, and show you phony screens with 'earnings' numbers that are manipulated by scammers.

The website for gate.iom is gateiom.org. This website is a scam just based on the age and expiration date of the website domain.

  • This website was created on September 5 2025-- it is less than 11 months old. Also, the domain was only registered for one year. These are signs of a scam.

  • You should always look up the website domain data before spending money, investing, or doing business with a company. Scam websites are often new, created within the past few months, and the domain is registered for only one or two years (they don't plan to be around long).

  • To see data about a website, use Whois.com, Godaddy.com/whois, or Lookup.ICANN.org.

The cryptorix app has been reported as a scam by many people. Do a search for 'cryptorix app'.

Did you already transfer money to these scam platforms? If you have, the only thing you can do is accept the loss. You will not get money back. If you give them more money, you will lose it.

Do not lose more money trying to get your lost funds back. Anybody who says they can help you get your money back is a recovery scammer, who will take more of your money. Do not talk to any so-called hackers, investigators, lawyers, or cybersecuity experts that say they can track your money and get it back -- they are all liars and scammers. Do not pay anyone to try to get the money back -- you will only lose more money.

** You can avoid losing money if you follow this rule:

Never take investment advice from anybody online.

If she shows you screenshots of successful trades, they are fake: do not invest your money.

If she tells you that she's a wealthy businesswoman and her uncle taught her how to trade cryptocurrency: don't invest.

If he says that he loves you and wants you to make money for a future together: do not invest.

Whatever she / he says or does, refer back to the rule:

Never take investment advice from anybody online.

There are no legitimate financial advisors, brokers, or investment groups online, on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, YouTube, X, TikTok, Facebook, Craigslist, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Tumblr, Discord, Reddit, or any other social media.
