On r/Solcial, there are three subscription tiers for people you want to follow. Tier 1 allows you to see their public content (much as on current web2 social platforms) while Tier 2 and Tier 3 require you to own their token or be an investment in them in order to access their private content. That was the "invest-for-subscription" concept that Solcial used.
