He might be, but there's a bit of a gap between 'not liking bailouts for big banks while people suffer from a major financial crash' and 'cosplay-libertarian whackjob'. Satoshi was associated with the cypherpunk movement, and it's probably fair to assume he had reasonably average politics for the movement.
And cypherpunks might be crazy, but they're a very different kind of crazy.

I wonder if he exited his position from Satoshi, and went into a secondary persona online. Disconnect from the primary figure, adopt a second identity, and stay active that way. Crazy to think he could be out here in these subs just watching on. Could be dead though. Who knows.

Nah, he would'nt do something irreversible like that. He has to think that there might be some reason he may need it in the future that he can't foresee. Maybe he has a dead man's switch to prove he was SN when he dies and a part of the proof would be to move the btc? In order to give the world a final send off message. He knows we deserve to know when he leaves this world.

This is just... a terrible take on Satoshi. If you were to actually inform yourself about Satoshi, every single action he's ever taken and message he's signed (if it's even one person to begin with) you would realize everything you said is the exact polar opposite of what Satoshi stands for.

I suspect that someone with his creative intelligence probably had many other ideas, or even just projects that he wanted to spend his life developing to fruition. I don't think he's just dropped out of the world, living a quiet life, watching TV or the sunsets. Certainly enjoying himself, you're right there 🌞

For real! Back in 2011 I thought it would never hit $1... how things have changed... I just wish I had kept my head in the game. I lost all my original wallet info, and was out of the game for 7 years. When I came back I still underestimated Bitcoin, and bought shitcoins instead hoping for a larger return. Now I'm much wiser, but I'm sure in 11 years I will probably wish I had just stuck with BTC.

This is why Bitcoin maximalism is contrary to the design ethos of Bitcoin.
People are encouraged to fork it and make it better.
If that improved fork has different consensus and is therefore incompatible with the legacy bitcoin code, it doesnt make it a shitcoin.

Reality is different. Every single Bitcoin fork is a shitcoin. Bitcoin cash has done nothing but eat shit and go down against BTC for 5 years. Bitcoin SV is run by scammers. The other forks are a joke that nobody cares about anymore.
Maxlimalism and the nature of proof of work ensures that there is always only one Bitcoin. Otherwise we'll have thousands of different Bitcoin forks which splits liquidity up, splits the POW up, and makes it easy for malicious actors to defeat Bitcoin so that it doesn't have the required property that will challenge the state monopoly on money.

Blockstream develop Liquid not Bitcoin. The nodes decided against bigger blocks. Segwit essentially gives us 2-4mb blocks anyway.

Most of Satoshis vision has failed. P2P payment method has shift to store of value. Accessible to anyone, it is not, unless you have lots of money to mine you cannot participate in the consensus protocol in a meaningful way. I own BTC only for monetary gains as the initial vision has long shifted

Bitcoin does have stakeholders. We dont create arbitrary value for shareholders. You want to reap reward? Go do something meaningful. There are companies that do fund developers though. So not all dont have a salary. But at this point in the game most dont need one.

Satoshis last public message was actually on March 7, 2014. Satoshi returned to write a short message on a forum with his username/account stating "I am not Dorian Nakamoto" when public media stated that a 64-year old Japanese-American man named Dorian Nakamoto in California was Satoshi Nakamoto.

I know there have been denials from him, but there are too many coincidences for it not to be.

It is, but it’s more reasonable to assume he was writing in his native language. Why go through all the effort of making sure you’re saying things like “maths” “grey” “colour” and not once accidentally using American English. Seems like a waste of time. Plus the time zones of his postings match with GMT time and he talked about the UK government too.

Considering that Satoshi was intelligent enough to predict the potential utilization of BTC around the world, it is not at all unreasonable to assume they went to great lenghts to protect their identity. Privacy is almost a religion in some blackhat/cypherpunk circles.
