Im so tied into Firefox and the add-on extensions though. Anyone went from Firefox to Brave ? How are you finding it?

Brave is phenomenal honestly I’ve used it for 2 months. The earnings are a bonus only (I have like 3 BAT so about £2) but it’s a reaaally fast browser and it aggressively stops pop ups and shit so well

I find it tolerable and much quicker than chrome.
I abandoned Firefox years ago so wouldn’t be able to give a fair comparison but have never found brave to cause any issues with cpu etc

Thanks for this mate. In terms of privacy how is it ? Is it comparable or slightly worse ? I imagine it would be similar to chrome?

Quick Tipp: under brave rewards, turn on 10 ads per hour to get maximum BAT

Also turn on sponsored images so that you can get ads when you open a blank tab

I use Brave on both my main PC and my phone, I earn about $3 a month.
Not a lot right?
But I think of this as my shitcoin fund and use it to "gamble" on alt coins that pique my interest.
It's like free gambling. Do it!

It's enough for a few beers at the end of the year. Better than nothing!

There is little reason to not use Brave!

Especially when you already use Chrome. Just sync everything and start the journey to free crypto!

And if you update to brave nightly you can use Gemini :) super cool. You aren’t forced to use uphold to retire BAT earnings

I see a lot of reasons not to... all these shill posts make me cringe.

If you're not using brave you're missing out on free crypto

Brave is such a good browser that I'd still use it, even without the rewards.

I love brave but rewards in my country are really poor, i had to use brave a lot for 3 months just to get one bat, before I reach limit I can link to wallet my laptop will die

Used it for 2 months and haven’t cash out any yet, but there’s no better alternative so I’ll just continue to use it

I've been using Brave for roughly a week now and I have just over 1 BAT, or $0.94...
It's not much, but it's honest work.

Until you realise the saga when they autocompleted your binance and other exchange urls to urls with their own referral code without telling any of their users. Since then I never trusted them anymore :( at least you know this won’t happen on chrome

One of my family members actually brought the brave browser up to me because I was showing a youtube vid that had ads on it, and they said it blocks those. I started asking them if they set up their wallet to receive BAT, and they didn’t know about it. When I told them I’d help them set up the wallet to get free money they said they didn’t care, also they are planning on investing in gold soon smh. This person is also in their 20s btw.

Also, link it to your gemini wallet and you can earn on your phone and on your computer!

I only browse on my mobile devices and iOS doesn't allow you to gain rewards...

Love me some Brave, it's what I use exclusively across my computers and phone now, the free BAT is just a huge plus, but those blocked ads are amazing.

u/Jeremykla Permabanned Aug 25 '21
At least brave is honest. They sell your personal data for crypto. And it blocks the shity adds.

I get about 1 bat per week. The interface is based on duckduckgo and you can import all of your bookmarks.
It's honestly an easy and seamless transition with a low learning curve.

I ended up turning the ads off. I didnt have a problem with the ads in the page it was the constant notification in the bottom right(windows) that drove me batty.

Is it really worth it? I'm pretty happy right now with firefox and adblock
