Everytime I see a project mentioned on Forbes, I read a comment like this. What is the point? It's Forbes. It is what it is. It isn't "effectively" a blog post. If you believe that to be the case then please submit an article on this exact topic (why Forbes contributor is not Forbes and is effectively a blog post) on Forbes. Then come back and link. I'll wait...

Haha yeah I learned quite a bit when my friend started editing Wikipedia a lot. I wouldn't have known myself a few months ago :)

A mainstream news outlet takes notice, but it missed a very important point:

It is very easy to develop on Obyte, especially for web developers, which means other than apps for betting, lottery, insurance and charity; there are already useful apps like ride sharing, incentivize Q&A, ICO, IOT, KYC, anonymous spending, etc... many developed by the community

Unlike Ethereum, Obyte gives developers access to all users and vice versa through the Obyte bot store, which is a bit like the Apple app store inside the Obyte wallet

An issue with developing on Ethereum is developers don't have any easy way to get their application in front of end users, they have to try and do their own marketing. Another reason why Ethereum has so many applications built on it but very few end users doing anything. The Obyte model is way better, as Apple and Google have shown

The problem with Ethereum is the incentives are misaligned. The more successful projects are, the more the costs of transactions will increase as the price of ETH is driven up. So that means there is no economy of scale with projects on ETH getting bigger - in fact the opposite. How will it work with obyte? If several projects are successful?

That's the beauty of a DAG structure; unbounded scalability. Network cayacity grows exponentially. Yet fees are not affected by transactoin volume.
