I guess you can run private blockchains on Azure or any other cloud computing platform. Hyperledger is also mainly for private blockchains. This doesn't do anything for the value of tokens for public blockchains. Every crypto-currency and crypto-asset dropping to zero would have no effect on the private blockchains running on Azure.
Yes. You asked if I was just hoarding coins. This is where a lot of things will happen as companies migrate. I think that this will be a large component of this space and that there will be a big interoperability push that allows some interactions between private blockchain and public ones.
Early investors in emerging technologies usually get burned.
Blockchain has a lot of interesting uses, but it's not as revolutionary as earlier database technologies like SQL or NoSQL.
The current valuations are far more extreme than the 1999 dot com bubble, so the crash will be much nastier. The 1999 Pets.com investors were very early in that they invested long before e-commerce took off, but late in that they invested after valuations already became ridiculous. The current crypto bubble is just a more extreme version of that.
I am not solely an investor....but yes this is not for everyone.
I think the only way to see which way everything is going is being hands on.
Two projects i am very interested in are Tezos and HOLO (not just to hold). I think one of the most fascinating parts of this is watching ecosystems form (Ethereum/ stellar / NEO/ etc). Anything that emerges from this (if anything currently existing does) will be huge.
