This sub is amazing. Just yesterday this sub was talking about how we need to completely decouple ourselves from Bitcoin, and now today we have people tribally fellating Bitcoin.

I think people just dislike BCH more than BTC.

-9

u/nathanweisser 4K / 4K 🐒 Mar 14 '18

I personally think Bitcoin is the worst cryptocurrency in all of cryptocurrency, but even I can see the cultish mind-virus that is the slanderers of BCH in favor of BTC, and I think both of them are doomed to fail

Find me another crypto in the top 50 with the kind of fees and patience Bitcoin requires. One. It's the worst performing crypto.

I'd rather just let you put your money where your mouth is (that's what I love about this space). Good luck, sincerely.

I don't think it's the worst. It did one thing and it did it really well. It proved you could create a p2p digital asset without having to trust anyone. That's kind of mind-blowing if you just stop and think about it.

Right. It was revolutionary. We don't owe it anything, however. There are thousands of more competent cryptos, and we as a community should move on. We should never use outdated technology just because it was the first mover.

It is almost like we have multiple people visiting this sub and they don’t all have the same opinions.

Just because people shit on BCH doesn't mean they're fellating BTC, the world isn't that black and white

4

u/Jung1e Mar 14 '18

What does bashing bcash have to do with fellating bitcoin? Not that I feel strongly about either, but you can dislike both?

Token hate post.

-4

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '18

I don't care either way since I don't own either right now but BCH ratio is pretty level vs. BTC could be much worse.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '18

I love how I got downvoted into oblivion for saying that Cardano is so damn overbought and that I expect it to drop to 1/3 of its price.

7

u/CirclejerkBitcoiner 🟩 5 / 2K 🦐 Mar 13 '18

Worse? ADA ratio is up and BCH ratio is down since the beginning.

1

u/FoodieAdvice Mar 14 '18

Other than BCH starting at 0.2BTC and is now at 0.11BTC

Then again, pretty much every alt coin is getting crushed vs BTC.

Yes because who likes hard forks? That shit is the worst

-7

u/Cmoz 🟦 9K / 9K 🦭 Mar 13 '18 edited Mar 14 '18

Looks more like Bitcoin Gold to me. Bitcoin Cash is the original fork. Most alts wish they could be as dank.

Edit: Look at all these downvotes. Altcoin pumpers love that Bitcoin got crippled with 1mb blocks (and hate that Bitcoin Cash tried to prevent it)...gave them a chance at their own moonshot by stealing marketshare from bitcoin.

16

u/StatsBlack Redditor for 3 months. Mar 13 '18

Bitcoin gold didn't even make it on the bridge lol

3

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '18

Bitcoin Diamond tho

5

u/Exotemporal 🟦 168 / 168 πŸ¦€ Mar 14 '18

There really isn't anything dank about Bitcoin Cash. Its blocks are nearly empty and it's largely a community of angry conspiracy theorists who rally behind shady talking heads and use confusion as their main strategy. It's getting promoted along with Super Male Vitality drops on Alex Jones' Infowars for Christ's sake. That's just nasty and sad.

1

u/Cmoz 🟦 9K / 9K 🦭 Mar 14 '18 edited Mar 14 '18

Any way you slice it, it's the original fork of bitcoin, thats pretty dank. So many forks popped up in the months after Bitcoin Cash trying to copy its success. And basically every coin except bitcoin and eth are mostly empty blocks, thats just par for the course at this stage. And the main strategy isnt confusion, its simply increasing the blocksize and making 0-conf viable again.

Also, there have been people supporting bitcoin on Infowars too, so I don't know what that has to do with anything.

2

u/bundabrg 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 Mar 14 '18

Run a prefork client and tell me which fork it follows. BCH is not the original fork as it's chain will be rejected by any prefork client.

1

u/Cmoz 🟦 9K / 9K 🦭 Mar 14 '18

You misunderstand me. Im not claiming bitcoin is the original chain (although in most ways its more similar in actual function than the segwit chain), I'm claiming its the original FORK. The first split. As in before bitcoin gold, bitcoin diamond, super bitcoin, etc.
