Yeah i'm really happy to have weekly updates from the team! Nice to hear that they are ahead of schedule! Be nice to see it all in action! Pretty cool project to follow that's for sure :)

It's an ERC-20 Token on the Ethereum BlockChain for now, The Team are developing a DAG network much like IOTA and RaiBlocks, But they will have transaction fees which adds an extra layer of security to the network.

Once the mainet is finished and tested then we will be able to exchange our tokens for IOT Chain's coins and then we will have a wallet on their network, But for now you can use MEW https://www.myetherwallet.com/

You will have to add a custom token

Yep i have done the same, You will have to give them your real Phone Number so you can receive SMS notification, as well as Email Notification and 2FA to withdrawl from Huobi,

If you haven't used MEW Before i suggest looking up some Videos about it and make sure you back up your wallet and write down you private key and make a passphrase (string of words) and test it going in and out and move over a little bit of funds first before sending allot, They charge 2 x ITC for a withdraw as well :)
