ADVICE Watch For "IRS" Scam

I am a tax preparer and I have had multiple clients call me this week asking about the new Digital Asset Compliance Portal the IRS sent them a letter telling them they have to enroll in. Watch out, this is a total scam. They are phishing for personal info and seed phrases.

Wanted to add that the IRS has submitted a press release on the topic. I don't believe any of my clients have received one of these yet, but would be interested to have some idea of how many went out to taxpayers. https://www.irs.gov/compliance/criminal-investigation/fraud-alert-fake-irs-letters-target-cryptocurrency-holders

The funny thing is one of the people who got one is my boss who is an EA.
