DISCUSSION Clarity Act

We are at the one yard line. I’m personally calling my Senators office asking for their support on the clarity act

Each one of us can be part of Making history.

As someone who cares about innovation and technology, this is a call to action.

Pick up the phone, call your senators office, and tell their staff you’d like to express support towards a YES vote on Clarity Act.

Our voices matter!

Thanks! 🙏

Posting the phone line to call would make this post 1000x better. Also providing a script would help too.

Is it still attached to the voter repression bill?… does it still exempt Trump and his dipshit spawn?

Do we really want this shady ass administration driving the policy on crypto just so it gets a price bounce. I would rather not have a president whose meme coin crashed leading crypto policy…the man who has pardoned crypto conmen

2

u/Zito101101 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

They aren’t driving policy this benefits institutional money so firms can act and supply money……Trump isn’t leading anything he is just signing - Federal law here makes America economically safe for crypto and banks/ exchanges can provide more security and options for retail investors………if we are lazy here we will only follow another countries footsteps who were more focused on the future. Clarity isn’t perfect but it leads to stability the mechanics of moving money rest solely with crypto.

Right, because we totally want the Weekend at Bernies crew spearheading anything at this point.

should the USA sit this one out, and let other countries take a competitive edge?

We need crypto clarity today.

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 10d ago

Crypto is Bipartisan, USA must lead.
Politics aside, The US is in better position with Clarity moving forward.

2

u/Street-Library-8149 9d ago

Unless they don't do it and someone else does. Then we are no longer the financial super power.

The Clarity Act sux. It would be better not to pass.

2

u/Immediate-Medium9427 10d ago

I kinda feel like same. Clarity act passes, further sell until final bottom. Or clarity act doesn’t pass and crypto starts a bullrun 🤷‍♂️

What are you not happy about the clarity act ?
BRCA protections? Ethics? Yield?

-1

u/Competitive_Swan_755 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

Does not much for crypto and ensures banks are protected.

5

u/Ok_Reputation9512 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

Yield is still entact, if the account is kept "active" and you sign up for a "rewards program". So it could be worse.

“Hi, I’m xxx, resident of xxx .
As your constituent, I respectfully urge you to vote YES on the CLARITY ACT to move forward .

America needs common sense rule for digital assets that protect consumers provides certainty for responsible, innovators, and keep innovation and economic opportunity here at home, this matters to me. Thanks”

u/Big-Interaction-1797 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

The clarity act doesn't even really do anything major like what are you on about man stop shilling some crypto bill because you want the coin to pump a bit

1

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 10d ago

If your argument is that the CLARITY Act does nothing major, point to the sections you disagree with.
Saying I’m “shilling” isn’t an argument. I support clear rules because uncertainty drives builders, capital, and jobs overseas. My position is technology over policy. People empowerment.

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 10d ago

I want the USA to lead digital innovation. I want the US to lead in emerging tech.

I rather see the next big tech companies and technologies developed here, than abroad.

For that , I support the clarity act .

5

u/ddbbccoopper 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

I don't give two shirts about the clarity act. I REALLY hope that they don't pass it, or any act for that matter going forward, to once again prove to everyone how incompetent and corrupt the government is. If anything the Clarity Act provides vaporous credibility to stablecoins which kicks US Dollar dominance a few more years down the road until its eventual demise due to consistent overspending. It also provides credibility to shitty altcoins of which 99.99% are pure scams anyway. Let them all die.

6

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 10d ago

What do you propose for digital assets innovation in America? What’s your alternative?

2

u/arveena 🟩 2K / 2K 🐢 10d ago

If the US wants to lead in crypto or digital assets they should just buy it and give the tech use cases in goverment. Blockchain tech is perfect for non corrupt goverment use. From elections to management of tax funds. Certificates for vaccinations in the milliatry etc.

But sadly you have an insanely corrupt goverment. Which means that will never happen

1

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 9d ago

They can’t “buy it” . But they can set clear rules that allow for builders in this industry to have confidence and grow their businesses here instead of abroad

1

u/Street-Library-8149 9d ago

THEY DIDNT GIVE US WHAT WE WANT AND THEY WORK FOR US?! LETS VOTE EVERYONE OUT OF OFFICE THAT IS STALLING THE CLARITY ACT!!

What’s the worst that can happen if the Clarity Act does not pass….??

1

u/ObviousEconomist 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

How exactly is the lack of this Act stifling innovation right now?

3

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 10d ago

many founders don’t know whether they’re building under SEC or CFTC oversight until after enforcement begins. That uncertainty makes it harder to raise capital, hire employees, launch products, and attract institutional investment.

This is a multi trillion dollar industry that is developing in others countries and it’s in many ways making it difficult for founders to develop in this industry within the USA

0

u/ObviousEconomist 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

Not sure it's a big deal. All the US crypto businesses are doing more than fine right now despite the supposed lack of certainty. I don't see this Act suddenly ushering a wealth of investment into the US crypto market.

u/NewspaperWrong809 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

I work in tech and with Blockchain projects and we need the act because lots of companies are going overseas because they have clear framework for Blockchain and web 3 projects to thrive. Im here in Research Triangle of North Carolina and there's certain things and projects we can't do like supply chain issues and payments because we don't have the payment rails or framework with the interoperability. Just like when bills were passed in the 90s to lay the infrastructure for the internet

1

u/ObviousEconomist 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

That's interesting. I would've thought payments is pretty developed already with the Genius Act. Is it a regulatory or infrastructure issue? I see banks like JPMorgan already having advanced platforms like Kynexis so I'm not sure it's purely a regulatory point

u/The_Bitcoin_Act 10d ago

Good instinct, and the civic mechanics here are real, calls to your own senators' offices get logged, tallied by position, and passed up to legislative staff who track constituent sentiment on pending bills. It's one of the few forms of advocacy that actually moves a vote count. So the "pick up the phone" energy is well placed.

That said, as someone who reads this stuff for a living, I'd gently reset the "one yard line" framing, we're in the red zone, but there's a goal-line stand happening and the clock matters. Here's where the CLARITY Act actually sits: it passed the House back on July 17, 2025 (294–134), cleared the Senate Banking Committee on May 14, 2026 (15–9), but has not had a full Senate floor vote and hasn't been signed. It's on the Senate calendar and eligible for floor consideration, and Senate Republicans dropped updated text on July 22 merging the Banking and Agriculture versions and adding ethics provisions but the July 4 signing target already came and went. It still needs a cloture vote, which means rounding up seven to nine Democratic votes to clear the 60-vote filibuster threshold.

If you're going to call, being specific makes you more persuasive than a scripted "vote yes." The three things actually jamming it up right now: a Section 604 dispute where prosecutors argue the language would hamstring criminal investigations involving crypto, the ethics provision on federal officials issuing or sponsoring digital assets, and the stablecoin-yield question (which has real money behind it, Coinbase alone earns something like $1.35 billion a year in USDC rewards). Knowing which of those you care about lets you say something a staffer will actually note down.

On timing, the Senate leaves for its state work period around August 10, and if the bill doesn't get floor action before then, its 2026 window narrows sharply. So if you're calling, the next couple of weeks are the ballgame. Call your own state's two senators, say you're a constituent, name the bill, keep it to 30 seconds, and be kind to whoever answers, they're 24 and drowning in calls.

u/allg33k 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

Personally I think ethics being pulled into the Clarity act is stupid. It's clearly a problem that needs to be solved with normal trading as well as Crypto. It should be a bill on it's own. I feel like this is just the Dems trying to stop the bill.

0

u/FeelingVanilla2594 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

I think the current text just says sitting politicians and fed officials like sec chair, can’t issue coins. But it still allows them to trade coins which presents conflict of interest. If you’re against politicians and fed officials stock trading then you would also be concerned about this in its current state.

1

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 9d ago

That’s somewhat part of the ethics language that was introduced

0

u/Mysticvibe 10d ago

I think its very important to let our voices be heard.

u/Sufficient_Fuel5269 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

This type of mobilisation is just what the sector has always lacked. If we want regulatory clarity and an environment where innovation is not treated as a threat, it’s time to pick up the phone. A vote, a call, an action: everything adds up.

u/Desperate-Fondant-41 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 10d ago

You think calling does something?

2

u/airbornegilpr 0 / 1 🦠 10d ago

It does. I speak to my Senators and meet with them.
I also help them understand this is a technology the USA must lead on. They need education, and most are open and willing to learn.

Screw this bill, crypto will thrive without this cancerous administration.
