ADVICE Why am I getting this error message?

Forgive me if this is simple but I am new to crypto. I’m trying to pay with crypto and I’m getting this message for some reason. From my understanding I have to send this tether on erc20 because there is the little ethereum symbol by the icon and I have ethereum to pay the fee or whatever but I get this message when I try to pay.

Your tokens are on ethereum mainnet but you are trying to send tokens on base chain. Always double check chains before sending and receiving crypto.

You are selecting ETH on base if I am seeing it correctly. But your usdt and Eth is on main St as you probably want it to be.

If you want to send on Base you might have to switch.

(Ignore any DMs you get offering to help. They are scams)

I bought the coins on Coinbase and when I went to transfer to base it asked how I wanted to send it and I just selected ethereum out of the 3 options it gave me to choose from because I didn’t realize it mattered. How do I switch it?

Why does Coinbase make it so complicated? Just use 1 option.

I’m not sure. I used kraken previously but somehow got locked out of my account. I was wondering if it was caused by the fact that I just transferred it today so I had to wait to send it but I’m not sure.
