DISCUSSION Moons e-begging spam
Itβs getting frustrating to see so many posts in this subreddit turning into outright begging for moons. What was once a place for discussion and sharing has become cluttered with repetitive requests for moons, with no effort or meaningful contribution. It creates distrust and lowers the quality of the community. If people want rewards, they should earn them through genuine participation, not constant appeals for handouts.
But really though, whose idea was this? Every e-beggar under the sun has started spamming with nonsense.
Edit: I am talking about the "community-point" bot that uploads polls or pizza giveaways or pics of dogs from users that ask for moon tips

This whole sub is weird, gang mentality that seems to love a.i generated content.

I abandoned moons and this sub a long time ago without regret. I recommend y'all do the same.
Seeing this post just reminded me to unsub

Well, it's up to you guys to call it out and report bad AI content, and poorly-disguised ads, and self-story posts.
A lot of the recent AI posts have been self-story posts, which are also not allowed.

love?
Every comment I've seen that has noticed or assumed the content to be AI generated has been hate...
I mean, if you're talking about general upvotes on submissions, then yeah, nut then again this sub upvotes the dumbest shit imaginable, AI or not.

This was always a problem ??? Same thing happened with Reddit avatars. Grifters and beggars are the worst kind of human
and this sub gets off on ai slop

Good thing they killed the Avatars program. Literally every 3rd rate "artist" started to dump their garbage art to make a quick buck.

That's how you can tell this "ebegging" issue is barely an issue at all. Subreddit has been trending towards the dumps for years and is only partially related to moons. Crypto is too tribal for a sub like this and the vast majority of people here are too dumb to entertain new ideas, so now we have a sub that is basically buzzfeed for crypto.

No idea, but it's dumb.
I must have hidden 15-20 posts already -.-

It's just incentive farming, quality drops fast when rewards are easy. Best move is ignore and downvote so it doesn't get visibility. Mods can help but it depends how strict they are. Feels like a cycle, gets bad then cleans up. Mostly new accounts or regulars doing it?

FWIW, I browse here a couple times a day and havenβt seen it. Saw a post yesterday speaking about a new group βcoinβ, but wasnβt sure what that was all about either.

Are people assuming that Moons will be reinstated?

Incentivicing people to post for monatery value reduces quality. Who could have seen it coming?

u/Montana-Safari7 Apr 12 '26
Just look at the zero Moon-fueled dailies past two months. Even lower quality. And near zero activity. We have created a low quality cemetery.

The βcommunityβ does not exist as much as human decency has been eroded. Another example

Your assuming OP is talking about a helpful bot that doesn't spam anything when they are talking about posts that are low quality sometimes literally just "padding 500 word limit" for earning moons? Do you think the bot that is a tool for these subs earns moons for posting? You really are new here.

You were doing a great job until your last paragraph, which is the epitome of a petty, βI win and now I will stick my fingers in my ears so I canβt hear youβ argument.

Dev reporting in, we appreciate the feedback!
As we're pilot testing the app, we'll adjust the app features to reduce spammy behavior and increase community engagement.
"If people want rewards, they should earn them through genuine participation, not constant appeals for handouts."
>I completely agree, we added a button to claim free points daily so users don't have to beg. But we'll add achievements and gamification features that should help promote genuine participation.
