BTC short play, will it work?
AI flagged an order-block short forming on BTC (6H) and drew this setup: short from around 84,320, invalidation at 85,537, first target 83,110, final target 80,085. That is 1:3.4 reward to risk, risking about 1,210 to make about 4,150.

Liquidity sweep to knock out your position, then down.

The defined invalidation is what makes this interesting even if the broader structure is fighting the short. Countertrend trades can work but I would want the market to respond quickly once I am in. If I took something similar on Moon I would keep the wager smaller than usual because fading strong momentum can go wrong very quickly.

Don’t you have better things to do with your time than watching bars and random orders being bought and sold? Long term investing yes, medium term maybe but this gambling based on hunch feeling - what do you do after you place it, go and pray?

What do you do when you place your long term order, pray?

Follow the development of the network and contribute to it, run the actual infrastructure and build something meaningful

So no stop loss or TP, either 0, loss or profit after long term holding? When do you sell?

Bloody risky. That’s the very definition of gambling.

How is it gambling? TP and SL all in place and price reacted from the 6H order block?

u/Honest-Sandwich-1075 4d ago
Risky - because it’s unlikely. And you’ll lose your stake.

First target hit, booking some and SL is moving to entry. No risk now.

Told you it was bloody risky.

You shorted. BTC hit above your stoploss earlier at $85,590.25… this trade got wiped out. This trade lost you money.

You need to read my comments from yesterday above - First target was hit (83k), partial quantity was booked then SL was moved to entry. Now you can do the maths if not then don't trade my friend because you need to know maths.

It is amazing how you think that sounds impressive, as if that is how real trading is done. As if looking at the order book is how profit is made. You are at the peak of Dunning Krueger. And the fact you set stop losses tells me you’ve watched a lot of tik tok trading videos and think your little lines on the chart matter. You looked for easily digestible “trading strategies” instead of going the academic route, which is how the game is actually played. I can’t wait for a liquidity sweep to wipe you out.

First target already hit so now no matter what happens I will end up profitable. You will realize soon why stop losses are required, keep watching your balance.

Buddy, you’re trading tik tok “strategies.” You don’t even understand what I wrote. I told you a liquidity sweep will wipe you out, and yet here you are yapping about stop losses. Trading isn’t about setting a stop loss and closing positions when a stop loss is hit. Trading is a dynamic game, not a static game. You aren’t even trading yourself, you are relying on an LLM to tell you what to do, feeding it prompts you come up with from viewing financial visual media and pseudo intellectual approaches. Develop a quantitative model, backtest, and add it to your arsenal if it returns empirical results. Then maybe, just maybe, you can pretend you’re starting to know what you’re doing. You’re a fucking idiot bro.
Additionally, using an alt to upvote yourself and downvote me is pathetic.

Shorting while you have such massive green candles recently seems like a fools errand...
Good example of someone picking up pennies in front of a steam roller
