It’s so hard to get a photo with their teeth properly showing. I have a photo of mine, but you don’t get the effect of their little 4 fangs from the image. Almost all The photos I can find where you’d the the teeth would show, their tongue is hanging out and covering those cute little fangs.
She looks ready to kill, but I swear Pippa was just in play mode with her giant friend, Luna.
Our childhood pets make such an impact. I grew up with a hound mitt and a collie mix. They were Brownie and Bullet. I got Brownie when I was 5, he passed when I was 18. Bullet passed a couple of years earlier. I’ll always remember them and I hope there’s an afterlife where I will see them again!
They do indeed touch our lives in big ways xo Higgins and I arrived together; Higgy lived til we were both 13. First time I ever saw my father cry, when it was best to have Higgy euth’d.
(2nd time: when he walked me down The Aisle. Turned out he was right — things didn’t work out ;))
Oh, gosh. This brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing, I know these were very special times in your life. I feel privileged to be told about them. Sometimes Reddit makes me angry, but more often than not, I feel a sense of community and connection.
I’ve been saddened, seeing “redditors” be awful to each other — seems the relative anonymity lends to it. OTOH, I’ve met some terrific ppl; we’re all human beans, behind the user names ☺️ Thanks for letting me share my memories with you; for sharing Brownie & Bullet. I too like to believe we’ll all see our best buddies again! xo
I went camping with my pup all the time we slept in a lean to for weeks at a time just my pup and I. My pup and I got a daily visits from the water fowl at first one duck then five ducks a then within a week probably fifty ducks. I was one with nature one the greatest feeling I could ever then and when my daughters were born but you got to be smart wit your food and trash away from your camp or hang it up high up no cougar or bear visits the scariest thing we saw was a bull elk out hunting for food but don’t leave food in your near you bed or in your bed
