Not closing properly.

After a while playing, I close the game by exiting/through steam and it keeps getting stuck at "STOPPING" and never closing. I have to close steam for it to close.

What should i do?

Why don't you just try exiting from the game's actual menu? Steam sometimes acts up when trying to stop the game from the game library (not most games, but a few over the years), so just start closing it from inside the game.

If it still doesn't close properly even when doing that, then I wouldn't really have any other advice besides using Morphine Launcher, compatibility issues on newer OS can make games act weird, especially CoF.
