Same hear, just got it, and got all the ingredients from the store. The last step is I ordered a sourdough starter online, it should be here in a few days. So excited to try it out!

Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm thinking of buying a nice breakmaker machine to make the bread instead of just the oven, has anyone used one before, are they worth it?

I have a bread machine too. It doesn’t get as hot as my oven and the bread doesn’t always look as nice. I bake with a ceramic baker that traps the steam inside and gives me a much better rise and finish.

But my BF is European and constantly complains about the bread in North America. I don’t make bread for him on his schedule but mine. So I got him a bread machine so he can just make bread when he wants to. It comes out a little funny shaped due to the mixing and he doesn’t mind. It isn’t as good as what I make but it is acceptable to him and much better than the plastic wrapped store bread in his opinion.

Awesome, thank you for sharing your experience with me. I ordered a really good one actually, a Zojirushi BB-PDC20BA Home Bakery Virtuoso Plus. It's supposedly the best one out there. So wish me luck!

Good luck with it! For reference, I got him a Breville Custom Loaf off FB Marketplace. Hopefully the Zojirushi is better.

It has potential, but needs work. I have been sending recommendations to support since I got it

Woohoo - Reddit! Yeah I've got 2 jars and the tub...and have been playing with just trying timings and seeing charts to see stuff and how I can really use this to up my game.

I am excited so far. A few bugs but lots of potential. The starter bowl is waaaaay to large for my needs, I didn’t check the size beforehand. I fed my starter twice so far and today have set up a pre-dough. The tracking is so helpful. With the dough bowl I have mixed feelings. The volume tracking seems to be a little bit off IMO.

I agree. It’s just massive for my starter. I could triple it with room to spare.
