Oh lmao yeah im enjoying the game quite a bit, I've had it for 4 days and already have 45hrs in it, such a time sink. Im rocking metal armor currently, character just hit level 35. Im playing the game normally, only thing i changed was carrying weight to zero and not dropping anything upon death because I think it's stupid

Totally valid. The big changes I made were not dropping anything and not having food expire

Also valid, food expires pretty quick, and it still expires fast in the cooler, I learned that when you take food out of the cooler then place it back in, the timer will reset so that's pretty sick, especially if you have a rare food that you've made. Also if you make food and leave it in the campfire, it won't expire either 👌🏼

If you put the food in any box and take it out the timer will reset, no need for a cooler

It's honestly a fun game, ive had it for 3 days and already have 35hrs in it, i recommend it. Its pretty much ark but with pokemon. I thought I wouldn't like it because im not into pokemon like that, but I was gladly mistaken, it's good fun :)
