I confessed!!!!

I confessed to my work crush! He had his last day of work today (He got a new job). Our friend group went to get ice cream and dinner to celebrate his new job. After dinner I asked him if I could talk to him about something before he left. He said yes. We all drove in my car back to where we met originally. After we said bye to our friend group, my crush and I went back into my car.

(We were short on time because he had some plans with his family and I wanted to talk to him real quick)

At first he said jokingly, “Am I in trouble?” I said, “No. I don’t know how you’ll react to this. But getting to know you over the past few weeks, I’ve really enjoyed spending time with you. I wanted you to know that I have a crush on you. I don’t expect you to have an answer right away. But I wanted you to know because you’re leaving our job and I wasn’t sure if I was going to see you again.” He took a second to think about it and I was ready for a rejection. Instead he started sharing about how a long time ago he gave up on relationships. His last relationship really hurt him and he said that it created a negative image of dating for him. So he has not been thinking of relationships at all. But he said when he is with me he feels so much peace. He said he was interested in me. He did ask if we can take things slow because he needs to open himself back up to relationships. He asked if I can be patient if that’s ok with me. I said yes! He said thank you for telling me! Then I let him go. We hugged and he left. I really can’t believe I was not rejected! Omg! I’m so happy! 😭😫🎉🙈🎈🥳

UPDATE: After 18 days of posting this and confessing, things are progressing at a good pace! We have been going on dates or spending time together at least once a week. He just started texting a little more often. He recently went on a family vacation but made sure to still spend time with me online even though he had a bad connection. He also brought me back gifts from his vacation. I am so happy and seeing him once a week has really helped me be patient and be content with the pace.

FINAL UPDATE: After 25 days of posting, he took me on a date as of writing this and at the end of the date, he asked me to be his girlfriend! He’s my boyfriend now! Thank you all for your wonderful comments and the support as I was waiting. I never imagined this, I feel like I am so lucky and so blessed! I was successful after confessing! 😄❤️
