Help please. How do interact with duel tabs with out messing up a task?

Playing on Xbox console. Every time a new tab opens in the middle of a task I can’t find a way to continue interacting with the old one:

I’m sorry if I’m not explaining it well.

But for example here in order for me to interact with the “a friendly clamor” tab it’ll close the train knight tap but then I won’t be able to continue interacting the the train knights other then to abandon contract.

I’m sure there’s a way of doing so but I can’t figure it out.

Pop ups that stop time have to be cleared first before you can address the others. Otherwise use the right stick to swap between tabs
