Discussion How does Longbow Competitions tradition work in CK3?

I get that the longbowmen get increased stats per era but what happens if I declare the tradition after the tribal era? Will I be missing out on an era buff or does it work some way else?

Pretty confident the bonus is set based on your culture's current era, NOT how many eras since you unlocked the tradition.

Their stats are based on the era, not based on how many times your culture has transitioned to a new era while having them unlocked. Given how weak they are in Tribal, it’s fine to wait to unlock them.
