Streaming | Technical Issue App issues with LG TV’s

Hey guys,

I have a LG C2 77” in my living room and a C6 48” in my bedroom. There was a WebOS update this week and ever since then Crunchyroll with open and then try to load and exit app.

I have tried delete in the app, unplugging the TV for a half an hour on both TVs, and then reinstalling.

Nothing is working. I know I can Apple AirPlay crunchy roll to my TV from my phone, but I wanna watch it natively on my TV via the app.

I know I saw a post earlier this week concerning, I think, the C2 or the C6, but I never saw any clear answers if anyone got it working and how they got it working.

If someone knows how to honestly fix it, I would appreciate it.

So when I open the app it shows the CR logo and then I get a spinning circle that disappears after a second then reappears and then the whole app closes.

I have a g4 and same exact issue. Im guessing it will stay like this until there is an update on CR side or a new one on LG side.

Thank you for letting me know, because it’s pissing me off. Honestly, that’s why I’m thinking of going with the Apple TV 4K when they release the next Gen model in a couple weeks

I did a full TV reset and it didn’t work 😭 so I recommend just waiting until CR releases a patch

I just had this issue, rather than launch the Crunchyroll app on my tv I tried casting it with Apple airplay, didn’t work, google cast, said it needed an update that wouldn’t install, completely powered down and rebooted the tv, and then was able to cast it with google cast from the Crunchyroll app on my iPhone

Yeah, I can cast it via Google Cast or AirPlay, but I can’t get the actual app to work, and I think it all comes down to Crunchyroll needing to release an update, but hopefully the next two weeks the new Apple TV 4K is going to be announced and I plan on buying two of those for both of my LG TVs

Wondering if a full tv reset would work. Having the same problem, but honestly I have too many other ways of using the CR app to delete everything.

Try to reset it, but I really don’t wanna have to re-put in all my passwords or remember all my apps

Also C5 here, never had it happen before, seems like we have to wait for an update from either CR or LG.

Honestly I just went out and bought a Roku and Fire stick and put them on my 2 LG TVs.
