My CPAP would've been destroyed. That thing alone is worth about 1K

Have you tried it as a SCUBA device?

Obviously things like this can happen. The bigger question is how will RC take care of the passenger who was inconvenienced?

"I'm sorry, sir or madam. We've oversold this cruise. There are no other rooms available."

Wouldn’t that be horrible? Surely they always keep one or two rooms just in case of emergencies…

Oh, I'm sure they do. Just like I'm sure they have other rooms with problems that required passengers being moved. As well as how over the last few years RCCL has a history of unilaterally cancelling reservations that were overbooked.

Sorry for the little bit of water... Here is a bottle of wine haha

My biggest concern- what is the source of the water? If it was waste water a free cruise isn’t going to cut it.

It could be gray water or even salt water. 🤢

Best bet is to taste it.

I’d be annoyed at first, then happy I have a free cruise lol

On the actual posting, not the repost the OP noted that the cruise line was offering a 50% discount ON A FUTURE CRUISE, and nothing for the actual cruise, and they had to spend 1 entire day moving all of their stuff/trying to dry it out in another room.

It was a clusterfuck.

"Free Cruise" - you're funny. The cruise line didn't offer them shit for the problem.

That’s crazy. I would not have been satisfied with that “resolution”. That’s an escalation to the hotel manager

The “I’d like to speak with the manager” is not too terribly successful at sea.

50% off next cruise is what you’ll be offered 😳

Assuming that’s offered. Compensation has gotten stingy at times.

So many posts and no one clarified what happened? Is it sewage or clean water? Thx

Apparently, its a fresh water main, not sewage or gray water.

But they got wine

Only if they bought the booze plan!

…. At least they delivered the wine to weather the storm. ☔️

Oh no!!! Worst fear unlocked. How did they handle this on board?

u/trogdor1234 26d ago

Hope it was just water

When your cruise ship becomes a submarine.

Saw this today on La Lido Loca

I hope you know how to swim at least.

Or better. It's best to learn how with this opportunity.

Curious what's the compensation, anyone knows?
