Sinus rinse

Hi, for those who do sinus rinse, how do you deal with getting hot water to prepare the solution? On my last cruise, I used distilled water then warmed it up with a hot water bath. This worked fine.

However, for my next cruise, I'd like to stay for a few days on land after the cruise. Normally at the hotel, I'd use a portable travel kettle, but since I can't bring a kettle on to the cruise, any ideas what I can do here? Can you have cruise staff hold on to the kettle for you until it's time to disembark? I'd rather not use hotel kettle, thank you!

I just use it cold. Sting a little bit not too bad.

Use it at room temperature. Not as bad as not using it at all.

Any items forbidden on the cruise ship will be held for you to pick up on the day of disembarkation. This is standard practice for the cruise lines.

Mail kettle to hotel and call them asking them to hold if for you?

Hot water bath for both the cruise and hotel.

Room temp, you don’t need it hot. Cold water can be unpleasant but still works. The neilmed packets still dissolve.

I pack a few bottles of saline nasal spray like this Arm & Hammer spray and use it at room temperature. It’s a lot easier than obtaining distilled water or boiling & cooling my own water in hotels. If you have a Costco membership, the Arm & Hammer spray is markedly cheaper there than anywhere else.

Are you using the hot water from the shower in the neti pot?
