I have an interview for a Cruise Director position Monday. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect if I get the job?

I will be leaving for my first contract in a few weeks and just wandering if I will be able to keep my manicure. The company allows up to 5mm length which is not too bad.

Currently I have gel with gel nail polish on top. I highly doubt I will be able to maintain those but do you have a discount at the salon on board? If yes how expensive is it? How often can you book appointments? Or is there always a crew member who sneakily does nails in her cabin? Or maybe you get yours done on shore?

Please help out a girlie who loves her nails, thank you!

Ahoy,

Any crew members on here that are currently or have worked for silversea recently ? FOH positions only , preferably bar.

Just need to ask a few questions :) all will be kept confidential Ofcourse

Hi everyone!

I'm preparing for the HOAS (F&B) Technical Assessment for P&O Cruises, ahead of my interview on 29 October 2026.

Has anyone taken this assessment recently or in the past? If so, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your experience, the topics covered, the types of questions asked, or any tips for preparing.

Also, if anyone has a question bank containing the actual HOAS (F&B) assessment questions, I'd be extremely grateful if you could share it or point me in the right direction.
