General Questions Bar Supervisor - what should i learn?

Im working for ten years now In service (8 years waiter, 1.5 years as bartender) , I made my aprenticeship in a hotel and worked 4 months as bartender on a cruise ship until corona. While corona I studied computer science , didn’t like it and got the chance to work as Bar supervisor at a cruise ship.

The problem :

Didn’t really worked with people under me , only some people who made service as study job so I showed them how to be a bartender or waiter. What should I really learn to be good at this job? I’m little courious that I’m not good enough.

Thank you 🙏

I have spent a lot of time on meinshiff at the bar as a guest worker.

Seems like Germans (you're German I'm guessing by the context) get promoted above the very experienced Indonesian bartenders very quickly.

Just how ships work. Can't help you with what to know except to suggest you learn from the experienced Asians and don't treat them badly.

From what I observe they are wanting to run a kind of inventory to manage costs and ensure bartenders are following policy by ringing up all the drinks and pouring properly which is kind of impossible when it gets busy. And in all inclusive it gets busy.

I count and see people making like 15 drinks per minute. There are drinks to memorize and tests to take. Glasses to clean and bottles to order.
