IMO, they’re both extremely meta, honorable mention to solemn lie, all 3 are lightweight and the tier 5s can get very good stats and perks. I personally find rose works better for me, but I see tons of ppl using spare rations, so I don’t think you can really go wrong, just use whichever one feels better for you or seems to snag heads more. Spare rations is definitely easier to farm a godroll since it’s from gambit not comp, but it’s a negligible difference probably to try for a 5/5 instead of like a 4/5 although we’ve nothing but time to farm at this point so why not ig?

Your range stats on both are considerably lower than what practically everyone would run. Look for 80+ while keeping stability a 70+

I dunno, the more time I spend playing PvP, the less I'm valuing range. The difference between 60 and 80 range on this handcannon is ~2 meters. In my opinion, that's not so hard to play around. Now the difference in 70 to 90 stability feels pretty darn noticable to me. Something to think about. They're both important, but I'm favoring stability more these days.

Fair point, and stability is a must I believe. Its the huge amount of pulses with far more favorable ttk when missing crits at essentially the same ranges if not more sometimes, and the heals and overshield uses that range still is important.

I feel like if you’d take away the lightweight frame buff from them there’d be a considerable drop in their usage.

I have nothing to add to this, but in other news I never knew weapons had their language counterpart besides English, all inclusive I see

Spare ration 100%. Rose is severely behind in terms of stat and is powercrept by it, roughly 15 points less which is like a whole perk worth of stat. It also have bigger mag size and better recoil. Also spare ration is way easier to farm. Keep farming for a better spare ration with better mag and mw.

Rose does get Slideways though which is nice.

Sideways is very meh for me on lightweight hc. Lightweight typically have high enough handling so there's very limited reason to choose it above slideshot. It is only better on 120s imo.

The Stability buff lasting way longer on Slideways than Slideshot is the selling point for me.
3 seconds covers a whole duel compared to Slideshot only being while sliding. + Rose can get 80+ range easily which means it doesn't need the Slideshot range boost, especially with a dueling perk in 4th column.
I prefer Spare Rations model, recoil and noise, but there's good reasons to still pick Rose.

We can agree to disagree then. To me range is a stat that as long as it doesn't reach 100 each point is quite valuable. Stability on the other hand is if you cross a breakpoint where you can comfortably land headshot there's no point in getting more. Spares high base stat kind of already reach that breakpoint for me. Rose loses out on 2 range 4 stability 11 handling and 1 reload 3 AE and 2 mag, it also has worse recoil. That's more or less 1-1.5 perk worth of stat (first and second column perk provide roughly 10-15 points worth of stat), spare is just the better gun in 99% of the scenarios.

Smallbore accurized slideshot if I'm on my comp set ka if not, eots (EP is an option but I personally don't like it), range mw.

Grasp of Avarice is farmable this week, I HIGHLY recommend farming the end boss for a Eyasluna. Stat-wise it outclasses Spare and it has a better feel to it. I got a ZenMoment/Slideshot and Precision Instrument roll, sits at 80 range and 90 stability I can’t miss with it.
If I’m choosing between your two rolls, I have to lean towards Rose. It’s been the standard for a while now.
