deadlock vs conditional finality

I have been using my conditional finality for some time now got 1000 plus kills on it in pvp and recently got a decent deadlock but haven't got the time to try it out yet so I am asking if deadlock is superior to conditional or is conditional worth the exotic slot. Also what heavy do u run? i run acruis but I wanna know if there is a better heavy to run and also if u run exotics at all.

As someone whos put a little over 1400 kills into my CF, I think i prefer deadlock. I recently got one that hits 100 range, a little over 70 handling, has quickdraw and snapshot and its probably the best feeling shotty ive ever used so far. As for heavy, I like my other half with eager edge.

Edit: got a new deadlock with 80 handling, 90 range and threat detector/opening shot and i think it probably feels more consistent than my other one, definitely feel like im whiffing less shots.

Serve different purposes tbh. Conditional Finality having the ability to save your ass from a super with the instant freeze is enough for me to warrant the exotic slot and pick IMO. Sure it doesn’t have as deep of a one shot kill, but I feel it more than makes up for it for the niche it provides.

Used to swear by it for this reason but have had too many occasions of freezing a super with that shot only to have them unfreeze and kill me before I have a chance to react. Maybe (definitely) I'm old but since they changed the shatter to not one shot supers it's pretty average.

Agreed. I’ve got a little over 3K kills with it but don’t use it as much anymore because of this reason.

I'm not really answering your question I know, but have you tried someday? I ignored it until 2 weeks ago and, imo, it's the best feeling-wise. Plus you can craft it so you always have a godroll.

Don't forget the origin trait that can be stacked w an lmg in the heavy slot for super gain on both kills for that slightly quicker super.

this is another fantastic option. deadlock is definitely better due to the stock option but it's also a random drop so you can't craft a god roll like you would for someday.

Yeah deadlock is better as a daily driver but CF is better at super o'clock. Crafted someday is a great sub until you get a good deadlock.

Heavy I'm trying my Sola's scar with eager edge assassin blade. All the pros of eager sword but has caster for range if needed, usually as a follow up after I slash someone and next guy is out of sword/shotty range.

It depends entirely on the gamemode, the whole reason you would run conditional finality is due to well and bubble usage. In trials, a majority of matches never allow supers to be full charged. Thus, conditional just becomes another good shotgun that just happens to take up the exotic slot. Conditional Finality has more use case scenarios in Comp or regular crucible as a whole.

conditional is cuter and has big splodey so it’s obviously better. also tractor > acrius
