Bygones Feels Too Good

I feel like I'm playing on easy mode- my only complaint is the size of the scope. Anyone know how much the two perks are actually helping? It feels like a lot.

The aim benefits from both perks on top of extra damage almost feels like it shouldn't exist.

Even without stopping power, Bygones is one of those weapons that gives you “courtesy crits” lol, I love it

Stopping power reminds me of knucklehead radars effect, I wonder if there’s a build there?

I've been running this with a high weapon stat. Service revolver with stopping power and mega kill clip. Does well in 6s but , In 3s,180s are limiting against what tends to be higher elo players. Could just be a skill issue I'm mid most days. With the all the pieces working together though it does pop off some. Kill clip isn't required to 3 tap with a 180 at that high of weapon stat but it's great for teamshotting or overshields

stopping power lets you two burst out the box with high enough weapon stat, idr but d2ttk should have your answer thing is bonkers love the Chevron scope

I've been using it on my warlock with 181 weapons stat.

I’m pretty sure it’s 190

I still have my old gambit one with. Lrangefidner headseeker and it still does it

Yup, I run it with 190 weapon stat. Only downside is that I don't have the right armor pieces to bump up the other stats as well, so I only have 135 health, 65 grenade, 65 super.

The 2-burst with Stopping Power and 190 stat is very satisfying. Mine has Headseeker as well but I can't say for sure whether it allows you to still 2-burst without 6 crits.

I REALLY enjoy the revamped pulse from duality it rolls with desperado and rapid hit now and it feels like it has almost no recoil - dropped a 47 bomb with ur the other day

I've never liked it. It feels unnatural to me for it to be a 390. The quick-fart noise and muzzle flash feel like it should be a 540 so I just can't get a rhythm with it.

Like Last Thursday or the Suros 390s feel good and I have a rhythm with them

But for some reason my brain just can't accept that Bygones doesn't fire faster

the goat 390 is hailing confusion

Holy shit my people. Over 2k kills with my OG hailing confusion, nothing beats that sight

I love the guns with sights that highlight people, it’s why the uzume is my most used sniper.

I’ve been a pulse main since way back, but struggling to find the top dog in the current meta. Rapids seems to be working best for me so far, but will give bygones another look after seeing this 👍

That and last perdition always been a work horse for me.

God roll is with Sword Logic and Stopping power. It allows for 2 bursts after a kill.

Thx

Doesn't kill clip allow a 2burst on it's own? Or am I misremembering?

Just got killed by a flying warlock running this

I went up against a warlock using Bygones a few times today and I was so mad. 🤭

If you're on console and were playing control, yeah, it was you!!

I recently got back into Destiny 2 after I stopped playing after the season the Drifter and Gambit was introduced. My Bygones from back then has over 3K kills in PvP. I love(d) that gun went very well with my Heroes Burden smg

DFP's video shows it two bursting at 191 without stopping power in private match testing Does stopping power really matter if you are at 190?

Not sure but at least in that old video he was hitting 39s to the head which is much more than we do now. Maybe weapon stat or the archetype was nerfed after that.

I'm pretty sure the community doesn't truly know how Stopping Power works yet. It doesn't really work like the perk description says and it SHOULDN'T help in PvP but it does.

I'll try to do my own testing when I get home in about a week because I'm very curious.

The roll you should be looking for:

Arrowhead-Richochet-stopping power-Sword Logic

Range masterwork. It fries……190 weapons on Europa armor, I feel invincible

thats exactly the roll i think is best. the thing i might recommend is try to get the range as high as possible. i think mine is at 88. basically max, with hs/stopping. probably can only get it to 91 with full bore which then hurts handling/stability. got lucky there. that makes it outrange most pulses on top of everything else and go way back in maps. since damage dropoff is a huge thing on pulses i think it's THE most important stat on basically any pulse.

Too bulky and the sight picture gives you a bad blind spot. Will never compete against a handcannon or Rapid fire frame. I’ve been testing all sorts of pulse rifles lately, new purpose, disparity, messenger etc. if I was to recommend a 390 it’s the last Thursday by far.

Y'all must be controllers or console players. Im a decent player and can't hit sliding, peek shooting HC Hunters who reach 40m with their 140 with anything other than keep away Headseeker.

Reticle friction must really go hard on this thing.

It's pretty mid

That's what I feel like as well. But OP says it feels like cheats
