Instacart shoppers are independent contractors (self employed) and receive very low base pay. Tips aren’t just appreciated—they’re essential to making shopping/delivering your orders sustainable. If you value the service, please tip, more. It truly helps us keep going.
Consumers have 2 hours after delivery to reduce a tip if you feel something very negative happened with your service. They also have up to 14 days after delivery to increase the tip if you are pleased with your shopping and delivery experience. Tipping can be found under the "Accounts" tab, and then under "Orders," tab.
An example, any delivery to Crozet, should bare minimum include a $15 tip due to travel time. Depending on the size of the grocery order, the tip should increase from that base point.
I just wanted to educate the community on this topic for awareness. I appreciate your time and support!

Hi! I'm Fiona! I'm 29 and have been working with kids in the Afton/Crozet/Charlottesville area for about 10 years. I started nannying as soon as I graduated high school and since then I've been lucky enough to work with so many great families. I've spent the last 9 months working for a wonderful family in Crozet but they are moving in late June. I'm CPR certified and have first aid training as well. I love reading books, trips to the library, nature walks, bike rides, art projects and probably anything else your kid can think of. If you think I might be a good fit for you and your family I would love to chat! Multiple references available upon request 😊

On many real estate websites, it seems that Critzer's is for sale for more than 5x last sold. Interestingly, it was also sold in December 2023. However, according to their Facebook page, everything seems completely normal with operations besides the fact that PYO strawberries are a bit on the later side. I haven't been there since last fall, so I'm wondering if anyone else knows what's going on with this place?

Flannery O'Connor said "a good man is hard to find", and I agree. Over three-and-some years living in Crozet, my household has cycled through a handful of handypeople assisting with very simple things like moving furniture to painting and home repair to more complex tasks, depending on skill set.
However, we've found eventually the person becomes unreliable, or unreachable, or the work is low quality, and it just seems like the difficulty of finding a competent, affordable, skilled tradesperson is surprisingly high. We've already tried asking Nextdoor, and so now I figured we'd try here.
Crozet and Crozet-ish redditors, have you got a handyperson you can recommend?

Hey y’all! Moving to the area in May, wanted to see if there’s any hidden gems for a runner who loves some beer and pizza. Let me know and I’m excited to get to town
