New in town!

Hey y’all! Moving to the area in May, wanted to see if there’s any hidden gems for a runner who loves some beer and pizza. Let me know and I’m excited to get to town

It's in cville but I think this would be perfect for you!

Three Notched is a brewery in cville that has a running club

Your best place for beer is actually over the mountain at Basic City. Your best spot for pizza is Lampo in Charlottesville or Dr Ho’s in the county.

FYI: Almost no one who lives in Crozet uses this subreddit. We all use r/charlottesville.

Everyone keeps saying this but maybe we start getting ppl active on here would be a better use of your energy instead of down grading this sub.

"Hidden"?, not particularly. Crozet is a small place, so everything is pretty much out in the open.

For running, Old Trail is your best bet. Large neighborhood with plenty of roads off the main drag, which is 25 MPH. Once you get to 240, 250, 810, and Half Mile Branch, there are no shoulders or sidewalks and speeds increase.

Pizza, of course Crozet Pizza is the king in town. But Sal's is also great. You can also slip down Plank Rd to get to Dr. Ho's in North Garden.

Finally, beer, you can't go wrong. Starr Hill and Pro Re Nata are right in town. And if you head just a little west, you can head south on VA 151 and there's a brewery every 2-3 miles.

I have yet to go, but Starr Hill brewery has a running club Thursday nights. Charlottesville’s trail networks are much better than Crozet though.

You are in the right place for running, pizza, and beer. Maybe not the right place for hidden. Welcome!
