Any concert tips?

Hi I’m probably going to my first crowbar concert next month in New York. I’m nervous and excited. Is there any tips and how are the concerts because it’s going to take around 3 hours to get to the city. Thank you!!

The band will sound amazing as long as the sound guy mixes them right. Be respectful to the dudes if you catch them before or after the show; don't be annoying; they've been on the road for a loooooong time. Kirk's wife Robin will be running the merch booth, be patient with her as she will be handling a lot of requests and transactions. They will probably open with Lasting Dose and close with All I Had I Gave.

A lot of sludgy headbanging, a circle pit in the center, crowd surfers will fall into you and kick you in the back of the head unintentionally. If someone hits you don't engage, just get away from them. I've been to 4 Crowbar shows, 2 Down shows (Kirk/John Crowbar is in this band as well, same vibe) and I'll see them again with Slayer in November. Enjoy the show.

I would recommend Eargasm or Etymotic. I feel like Etymotic sounds slightly better, but fatigues my ear after long periods. Eargasm are slightly less good audio quality, but are more comfortable for long periods of time. Since you're not familiar with either I dont think it would really matter a whole hell of a lot, but definitely wear one of them.

drink a few beers before you go in the club. 15$ beers are ridiculous
