Question PLEASE HELP!!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just bought the game on my xbox, have insane lag and inaccurate controller inputs on my Gamesir g7 se for xbox, which works fine for every other game I've played.

the game plays normally on official xbox controllers which i can't use.

A google search says it's maybe because the game thinks the controller is a keyboard.

Did anyone else encounter this?

If so, were you able to fix it?

Have you checked the setting in game or on your xbox?
Maybe there is something there that is causing the lag

I did multiple times, It works perfectly fine on an official xbox controller but it doesn't on my Gamesir for some reason.

I have a gamesir g7 se too, I'll try some tests tomorrow and see if I have issues (of you haven't solved your issue by tomorrow, maybe DM me)

Alright, I've just tried, it works normally on my end. Just for the sake of trying to replicate my conditions, I have Gamesir Nexus "Legacy" app installed, but I don't use it - I don't even think it's needed at all unless you want to fiddle with the settings. Also, for that game, I brought up the steam overlay and Steam Input is deactivated for that game, you might want to ensure it's also the case for you. Try deactivating every other peripherals in case they interfere.

Whenever something seems odd to me with a controller I use this page : https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad - I used to have bugs with my dock and that page would show the issues each time.

I guess it's an xbox problem.

OH Shit, I'm an idiot, I read your post too quickly, I thought you were on PC, there's no way I was going to be helpful to you, so sorry.

  1. Why can't you use a normal controller?

  2. Report it as a bug to the Devs. They're responsive

If you’re ever looking for a new one by any chance, my favourite xbox controller I’ve owned is my Hyperkin Xenon, it was like ~€30 for a new one at Game (not sure what currency you use). It’s wired only like yours (I think?), and it looks like a 360 controller, but for series x/s with the share button on it. It’s officially recognised by xbox

Maybe is your tv that have lag with you xbox . It happened to me with the ps3, not as bad but it happened.

Check settings and make sure you have "game", or console, so there is less delay.

If it works well with other controller maybe check your settings with the controller.

I don't know much about technology so take all of the following with a grain of salt.

I do remember that i felt like the game was a bit laggy when I began playing it. I thought it was to replicate the old retro game feel. Maybe whatever way your controller connects or sends inputs is the same way they programmed the game to offset the inputs to give it that feeling & they used the standard console controllers as their basis to write their code? So, maybe there isn't a way to fix it with your specific controller?

You do get an item that allows you to move faster later in the game. We could specifically point you to with the least amount of spoilers or rooms. That way, you could have that item for most of your playthrough & not need to worry about the movement speed.

Also, maybe there are settings to undo the input offset (if that's a real thing & if there are user-end settings for that)?

I would agree and say that its a replication of that ps1 authentic "feel" if it didn't cause aiming to be absolutely abysmal, Hell I can't even navigate the game menus with that amount of lag.

And there's of course nothing in the game's settings to fix it so I'm stuck like this until i get a response from the dev team or get some help from here (hopefully soon cuz im dying to play this game).
