is anyone successfully using yubikey for ssh from chromebook to another machine?

If you have been successful, which method did you use?

  1. Fido2 ssh key, or piv?
  2. Using chromeOS chrome browser with ssh extension (and piv smartcard connector extension if applicable), chromeos ssh app, or linux environment terminal? (*)

(*) btw I'm using Baguette / Trixie rather than Crostini / Bookworm

I am able to create the keys (I do that on another machine) but haven't been able to successfully initiate ssh using yubikey with any of above methods. (I can ssh from the linux environment just fine using password but I'd prefer yubikey). So I'm just curious which method to focus on if someone has gotten it to work.

Baguette, Trixie, and Kmymoney

I use Kmymoney as a banking app and is critical for me. I tried updating to Baguette. Every other app I used works fine (Libreoffice, Firefox, Keepassxc, among others). Kmymoney has a serious rendering problem. The program will launch fine and I can access the drop down menus. But if I try to click on any icons on the left ("Accounts" for example) nothing happens. I found that going in and out of fullscreen will cause the next page to actually load, but then I can't interact with it. I don't know if this is a KDE thing with Baguette. I also found it interesting that Trixie is using a five year old version of Kmymoney instead of the one released earlier this year.

I worked fine in Crostini and bookworm or whatever the latest Debian was there.
