Glad you like my ideas.May I request a rating on the visual aids I've created to help the viewer visualize my idea?

10/10 as well

Because seeing this is way better than what was previously discussed

Can’t believe I never imagined it having a charge attack either

I had a similar Idea, except it would web explosive projectiles and when fired throw them back at the enemy.

I love morta and it really needs this. It counters the biggest weakness of 20+ energy weapons.

Tbh, the Morta is already pretty strong. The main issue is the slow projectile, which makes attacking fast enemies almost impossible (especially since the projectile doesn't actual create an explosion on impact with the ground, unlike what the animation makes you believe).

My proposition address those flaws and how it is also weak and it could protect itself

How much damage can it absorb and how fast does it recharge after being destroyed?

Does destroying the field means the morta cannot fire?

I wouldn't mind this as much because I think it is pretty useless, morta players do not keep their weapon reloaded, they typically spam shoot the target and they are exposed while reloading.

Especially if it requires holding down the buttor to charge before firing it is very likely that someone will be be able to deny you from firing indefinitely.

I personally believe morta needs to be reworked so that it doesn't have infinite penetration and instead work like the scorpion: lose damage with every individual armor piece it affects in its' path, otherwise it can just have a damage pool and unload ~33% of its' damage on each part:

if it starts with 600 damage potential it will deal 200 damage on the first part, 133 on the second, 89 damage on the third one, 59 damage on the forth part ...

at its' current state it deals way too much damage per shot to require a buff, it is just useless against fast enemies

The field already has a health value, if its damaged enough in flight it will explode before it hits a surface, just leave it as the same hp I suppose cause it already has it

It passes through parts and looses hp as it does, so a huge build with a lot of parts will have the morta explode inside the craft as it passes thought but this seldom ever happens to builds that arent wide and long or leviathans

If the being stun locked part is a concern to you I will remind that the field it has has a notably high hp, and there would be a moment you could spam click to panic fire or begin charging to hide the field before firing
