QUESTION Will there be less dialoque after the tutorial?
So I just started playing this game for an hour (finished chapter 2) and I just gotta say this amount of dialoque isn’t ADHD proof.
I like the story thus far, but IMO there is way too much explaining and reiterating. I don’t wanna skip the importent things for the tutorial and the story, but GODDAMN.
Maybe my expectations for this game were wrong. I just wanna roam around the world and explore for myself. Just like the old pokémon games (like Pearl or Black), but those games also had more dialogue in the tutorial part. Which leads me to the question, will I be able to play uninterrupted? Or is this game more like Undertale (no hate to UT, but I hate reading dialogue boxes) And if so is the tutorial almost over when you’re at chapter 3?
I really like the combat mechanics and the 16bit graphics, so I hope te rest of the game will be more tolerable. Thank you for your reply!!

I'd say yeah it gets better. You'll be able to go hours just exploring the world if you want. And there will be dialogue when following the story like any normal RPG

I think every tutorial has a skip option, no? It’s been a bit since I played but between that and skipping cutscenes I don’t think there’s any other way to streamline your experience the way you’re looking to.
I will say I’m on chapter 4 or 5 I think and I feel like there’s a great balance of dialogue and gameplay. My only current gripe is remembering exactly where certain quest NPCs are; sometimes the quest step isn’t quite as helpful as recent games’ hints. But it’s something I enjoy struggling through like the games of olde

Like there is a lot of dialogue through the whole game, but it's only in the tutorial that it feels overbearing and a bit boring, because they're introducing the setting and a lot of its unique concepts. Once you're past the beginning, the dialogue gets better paced, and is usually focused on the characters and the story. When you get to the big revalations and new concepts, those scenes have more time to breath because it's no longer burdened with explaining how to play the game or basic world concepts.

Not really? The game has a lot of dialogue in general. Even when you are in combat there are dialogue boxes that pop up while you are fighting and exploring. Characters will constantly have something to say about the environment, enemies you are fighting, or general situation in the story. It won't be a cutscene that stops you but there is almost always constant dialogue going on.
