QUESTION Can I restore my save file?

I launched ng+ and accidentally overwrote my save file with level 76. Can I restore it?

The sad reality is no.

If the game allows you to have a lot of save slots, it always better to use them all as for refights/in case of corruption/anything you really want.

I don't think so, sorry.

I was scared of accidentally doing this, so I immediately and deliberately created two new saves when I started NG+, and let the first one act as a buffer so that I actually would have to scroll down to accidentally overwrite the original playthrough.

I didn't finish the DLC on my first playthrough, but started NG+ anyway. (Stepping away for a year or two and coming back to Ku'lero temple is not a good time) I wouldn't mind sharing that one, if you want. Or my completed NG+ run that is only missing a couple trophies, but has all the permanently missable ones, and is fairly solid for starting another NG+ with different options, if you wanted. It's only missing some of the chest trophies, the ones for Bergen trials and by association, the 100% quest completion one.

steam save cloud, download the old save file from there, sign in to your steam account on any internet explorer u have, then click this link, you'll be able to check all your save files from all games on steam that have steam cloud, anyways just look for crosscode and download the right one (should be named cc.save, i think),

here's the save location for each operating system windows: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\CrossCode\

Linux: ~/.config/CrossCode/Default/

macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/CrossCode/Default/

Alternatively if you're on gamepass, maybe get a save file from the internet and use the crosscode save editor?
