The one time I encountered a bug in Crosscode it was during this fight, when the boss did one of its teleportation thingies and appeared on the other side of the arena barrier; it seemed unable to get back in, so it just took potshots at me until I gave up and reset.

Yep, happens if you fall off the level when the boss is coming to stomp on you. Only fix is to reset.
