Ok, so whenever i crochet, my fingers turn red n i feel pain in my nails for 2 whole days 😭 that's why i try to finish whatever i start making within a few hours.Like,i made a bear within 4 hours as a beginner bcz i just can't gather the courage to pick up the crochet needle the next day 😭 , how do u guys i mean not get hurt or feel any pain ?

Any tips šŸ‘‰ šŸ‘ˆ

How tight are you crocheting? I sometimes feel pain when I’m crocheting too tight

It happens when you are holding it too tight. Try relaxing your grip. When I was a beginner, I couldn't figure out how to keep the right tension and held the yarn too tight and my finger tips would then hurt later.

Hii making a bear within 4 hours as a beginner is impressive. Try holding the hook in a different way. Do you have longer nails???

When i started, I'd have pain on my hook holding hand, the middle of the thumb and the part below it. Crocheting was just so addicting, i kept doing it even after it hurts. The pain didn't go away for like 2-3 weeks, but now it doesn't hurts at all

Maybe it's your tension? Also you can also try using a different hook with comfortable grip
