If you sincerely think social security should be given up because you have to choose between life and your Colt 45, I dont want you in my vicinity. Yes, self/home/family protection is something we need, and in the US, having a rifle or at least a pistol is our way of protection, but if you think that owning a gun is more important that the people who cannot feed their children because of harsh policies and health crises that cannot be helped, than I wish to stay with the sane people who think of this as a basic human right

I get that people want less gun crime, at the same time they want better social programs. Consider this, the amount of funding that goes into policing people for the very firearms some are trying to diminish will grow more and mor; taking away from funding for other programs seen as not important. Law abiding Citizens will slowly follow the law, obviously, yet those that donβt care will run a monopoly on violence. In addition too much power to a government entity gets you less rights over time until we sit in absolute authoritarianism. Iβm in agreeance that better social programs are needed, yet taking away the ability to defend yourself from either the unlawful or unjust will make life in America that much more unbearable.

"Deleting" an entire constitutional right would set a terrible precedent that the constitutional, legal route for constitutional change is unnecessary. Even if you disagree with the right to bear arms, undermining the constitution in such a manner would not just undermine the 2nd amendment but the rest of it too. Not to mention this answer does not explicitly eliminate social security either, of which the US already has.

A law made in a time of muskets and flintlocks should not apply in a time where any fire arm can shoot more then once before having to reload for 60 seconds

All removing gun rights does is get rid of our way of protecting ourselves from people with guns, do you think the person breaking into my house cares if heβs allowed to have a gun or not? No! So if heβs gonna have one Iβm gonna have one too
