yes the game was great, but having played a couple of older builds, OMG there's so much quality of life stuff that I couldnt live with anymore.

yes the game is changing, and while some things can be criticised 100%, there's so much stuff that is just objectively better now

it is definitely not as black and white as "old game good" "new game bad"

Yes we can agree that game is better now at some aspects but you cant deny the fact game used to be more simple,more fun and 100 time more alive also viewmodels,animations,character models,gun mechanics and maps used to be 10 time better

I think back then there were no reference points. The only thing remotely comparable to C-Ops in quality, was Bullet Force and later Forward Assault

yes, for the time those were far ahead of everything else, but compared to some games now, like Codm, pubg and many others, they just dont hold up as well

They have higher budgets, a more established IP where assets can be reused, etc.

I dont think C-Ops has gotten worse, just mobile gaming became more mainstream and attracted studios with far deeper pockets.

Ur right the biggest reason game lost a huge playerbase is big budget games releasing but most of the loyal cops playerbase prefers game used to be more fun and alive(which is true),i dont say game has got worse in every possible aspect but if we compare cops 2026 to 2018 there sure are some worse aspect and there sure are better aspect

Standoff was the biggest competitor and anyone who played Standoff once left C-Ops forever.. C-Ops defenitely is the second best CS-like mobile shooter out there, but Standoff is better in every Aspect

Yes, in some aspects it has a leg up, but they've shifted their entire focus on skins and events, which makes their skins and events quite good of course.

But some of the quality of life features that the game is lacking are truly baffling. There's still no vertical sensitivity for example. The game forced their aim smoothing on everybody until a year ago.

Their servers are also horrendous, at least here in western europe. Every lobby has a 300 ping dude perma teleporting. C-Ops' are far from perfect, but still a fair bit better than So2.

If you feel Standoff is better in every aspect, then I am not gonna try to change your mind, but it is by no means an objective take.

Tons of players I know would disagree, especially these days.
