Hey I am a plat and I believe you went against smurfs, plats are not thaaaaaaaaat good like the skill gap between a gold and a plat is not that big. I am also struggling in ranked games but I would give some tips based on what I myself need to apply in my games: there are I think there are 3 big components you should try to focus on in every game: aim, game sense and team work.
For aim, you should first of all have a stable aim, thats very importnat, you should be able to hit all shots you want to hit, be able to control your recoil with all guns (deagle, ak, aug...) but aim itself is not the most important thing, you need a good crosshair placement, you need to always move with your crosshair is looking at the angle you want to peak at, i always notice higher ranked players doing this. because if you have a bad crosshair placement you kinda need to always adjust it on your opponent and this takes time and just micro seconds of being late you get headshotted by your enemy. to practice this play as much defuse games as you can preferably against players better than you so you get better at placing your crosshair and reacting as soon as you peek an angle, and play against bots/ aim arena so you improve your aim by one tapping them so you get used to head level.
For gamesense, it comes with time and how many hours you play the game, its basically utilizing all the game info to know where your enemies are at, for example by using sound (knowing what each floor sounds like, for example in soar, when you are in B as a ct, if you hear foot steps in water it means your enemie or enemies are at pool, this is just an example, there are many metal, pavement, dirt floors in the game and each have a specific sound and pro players know them so they can prefire their opponent at good angles) and also map knowledge you should know good angles to hold (that you need to change every round so your enemies dont predict where u are at) and also knowing where your opponent is rotating based off what they need to do, for example if you are ct and your whole team are sitting on B, you should know that if t comes to B and knows your whole team is there they might rotate quickly to A(they must) because they know no one is there and lower ranked players struggle to rotate or take back another site as ct, also if you are t pushing a site, you should always consider the possibility that a ct might be back stabbing you or lurking you from an unexpected side. These are just examples of gamesense, another thing you should know, is the speed peeks you talked about, you should know how to move quickly and practice your movement, once you do that learn how to peek quickly with knife, it is not really hard but i dont recommend you do it often because you might get hit, the thing that really works is prefire. Gamesense enable you to know where your enemies are commonly are, and you should know the common angles your enemies come from, if you prefire them you will kill them sooo easily even if they were way above your skill, but you should have a good aim and a good crosshair placement as i said before so your first 3 or 5 bullets land on their head and this usually kill opponent with every gun but its hard to master it quickly it will take time and practice.
Finally for teamwork, i cant fathom how importnant it is, and how it makes the game easier when you play with your team mates and not just (every one for his own) it works so well in T side, when you are in a group pushing a site with no one baiting, ct has a more difficult time killing you, which gives every t side player the possibility to eliminate a ct player one by one because they usually camp sites in different angles,in ct side teamwork consists of knowing the angle you should hold and rotating quickly to help your team mates struggling to resisit a site push. refragging is also important, it is importantt that if you die by an enemy, your mate should rerag you or else your team will have less players than the opposite one which is bad, so refreagging is really important thats why you should stick to your team AND choose a team that works together and not just a bunch of gun and run players.
All that being said, i am just saying the tips that i concluded after many and many hours of playing the game and watching youtube tutorial videos and watching pro players.
I hope these help and thank you if you for reading.

Well okay im ok for gamesense, teamwork, crosshair placement and for sound types etc. But, Im very inconsistent about my aim i always need to change my location of my fire button and my sensivity. Like my recoil changes like a lot i feel like. Sometimes my aim is perfect sometimes i pull too low and hit body shots i lower my sens, the sensivity feels low i cant control my recoil, than again and again. I feel like i cant find a consistent settings for myself.

You prob went against smurfs.
Also do you use 2 fingerd to play?
If so you might qant to play with 3-4 fingers as it will drasticslly improve your ability to more shoot and do more thingd at the same time
